After two electrical accidents in China involving iPhones, both of which were possibly plugged into cheap, knock-off chargers, Apple has updated its website urging its customers to use it’s official chargers.
As we’ve learned, third-party companies that make cheaper knock-offs cut corners, which may be dangerous to the user. One woman died in China when she answered her iPhone. It’s believed that she may have been using a cheap charger, but that’s not clear or confirmed at this point. However, it seems like the most likely scenario.
Another man remains in a coma after an electrical shock.* It’s definitely horrible, either way.

*Hey, electrocution means death by electric shock.
