Apple is making a lot of money for EA. Surprisingly, GamesStop and Walmart aren’t the publisher’s biggest retail partners. Instead, it’s Apple.
EA’s Peter Moore announced this during a post-earnings call. He attributed high earnings for the quarter to digital games and services. “To that end, Apple was EA’s biggest retail partner measured by sales. And that is a first.”
The Simpsons: Tapped Out and Real Racing 3 seem to be some of the biggest games on the iOS platform. The company says it has made $90 million in smartphone and tablet sales over the last quarter. However, there is no word on how these break down between iOS and Android.
