Eric Schmidt Says Relationship With Apple is Improved

Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt spoke recently at the Allen and Co. media conference. According to him, things between Google and Apple have changed for the better.

Schmidt says that the two companies are having more meetings and are constantly having “business discussions on a long list of issues.”

That’s a good thing for consumers. Though the both are competing for space in the mobile OS market, it’s good to see that the two are in discussions. There are great Google apps on iOS, and it would be better to see more, and better apps.

In the past few years we’ve seen what may be the result of Apple and Google’s competition with each other. Apple has removed pretty much every trace of Google’s apps from iOS, such as YouTube and Maps (both of which are available on the App Store.)
