Apple is reportedly testing out larger iOS devices, such as the iPad and iPhone. This report comes from the Wall Street Journal, which has a good history with Apple rumors and news.
The Journal cites component suppliers for the company, and notes that Apple is testing out iPhones with screens larger than four inches and tablets that measure slightly larger than 13-inches. That said, it’s important to keep in mind that Apple is always testing out new products and designs. It doesn’t necessarily mean that they will become a reality, or that they will ever hit the market. For now, it’s entirely possible that the company just wants to test the waters, and may never follow through with such products.
Even if this is the case, it’s clearly still in the testing phase, and Apple is unlikely to reveal anything of the sort this year.
