KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is probably the only analyst who gets anything right about Apple is at it again. He’s worth listening to, at the very least.
He offers some details about Apple’s future line of iOS devices. Let’s take a quick look:
– iPhone 5S will have the same form-factor as the iPhone 5. He expects it to be available “in limited amounts following launch.” With that to improve in October or November.
– The low-cost iPhone we’ve heard many rumors about should launch around the beginning of September, alongside the iPad 5.
– Apple is unlikely to launch the iPad mini 2 this year. He says that this is due to the higher energy needed by the Retina display and lower battery capacity as a result of it’s smaller size.
Let’s hope he’s wrong about the mini.
