Okay, this is one of the few times DigiTimes puts out a report that sounds reasonable.
According to the often-wrong publication, Apple’s iPad 5 will feature a different kind of touchscreen technology that will make it thinner. Supposedly, it will use GF2 touchscreen technology. This will just make the actual screen thinner while maintaining the same resolution, effectively trimming some fatness from the current iPad.
The tablet is expected to look something like an iPad mini, but larger. In other words, the side bezel should be thinner, and it will be proportionally thinner than the current model. It will also look a bit more rectangular, thanks to the smaller bezel. However, the screen should remain exactly the same size as the current iPad, if rumors are true.
