This isn’t entirely surprising. We hear about how much support iOS gets when it comes to apps. According to a report from Canalys, 30 percent of the top 50 iPad apps weren’t available for Android tablets. They said that another 18 percent of those aren’t optimized for tablets.
According to Tim Shepherd, senior analyst at Canalys, this means that Google must do something to entice developers to create content for the platform. As website CultofAndroid explains, there are several factors that come into play: it’s much easier for users to download from other places without paying. There is also fragmentation.
Interesting numbers, nonetheless.
