According to reports, Android marketshare has grown over Q2 2013.
Apple’s marketshare of the worldwide smartphone market dropped to 13.2 percent, says website CultofAndroid. This is down from 16.6 percent one year ago. Android is up from 69.1 percent the same quarter last year. This quarter it stands at 79.3 percent.
The research comes from IDC and research manager Ramon Llamas. However, Llamas does say that the dip in iPhone sales isn’t a problem. It “aligns with the cyclicality of the iPhone.” New iPhone models will be available later this year, and that will just mean consumers will once again be interested in Apple’s offering.
