Apple is hiring engineers with expertise in plastics, according to reports.
More specifically, the company wants to hire folks who are experienced in plastics to work on the iPhone/iPad materials team. The company wants engineers with at least 10 years experience in making molds to develop new plastic materials and processes, says the report.
Apple’s low-cost iPhone may be one device that benefits from plastic specialists on the company. If Apple can develop new processes and materials, this could mean a lot for future handsets and unannounced products.
