iPad Helps Doctors Perform Liver Surgery

iPad doctor surgery

Doctors in Germany operated on a man’s liver with the help of an iPad, according to a recent report.

How did it work? They took a scan of the liver before surgery. After cutting him open, they took a photo of his liver. The app then used augmented reality to overlay the surgery over the insides of the man. It sounds complicated. It probably is. Seriously, they had to cut a dude open and take a look at his insides.

Either way, it seems that it helped. That’s good news for the doctors and the patient, as well as his family. This is also just one more thing Apple may boast about at its next iPad unveiling.
