Apple today opened iWork for iCloud’s beta to the public. This means that users can now access their iWork documents (or use iWork, even if they don’t have the software) from their browser. This is ideal for those who must check or edit a document remotely on a computer that doesn’t have iWork. For instance, they can open it up in any browser on any PC.
After that, they can save any edits and reopen it when they get home.
It’s a pretty cool way to work, and it seems pretty hassle-free. We’ll probably see it come into full effect in time for the next major OS X update.
For now, you can head over to iCloud.com to try it out.
