Bad news. Even the Wall Street Journal, a publication that as far as we know is always right about Apple rumors, isn’t totally sure if the iPad mini 2 will have a Retina display.
Really, nobody is totally clear on it right now. The Journal’s sources say that it’s “likely” the new iPad mini will have a Retina display. Still, that’s a “likely.” At least we can count on it being more likely than not. Aside from that, the new iPad mini is going to be the same size as the current one.
Aside from that, Apple is reportedly having trouble producing a number of Retina displays they need using Sharp and LG Display alone, and have also turned to Samsung for help.
