Pandora, which is one of the internet’s most popular (if not the most popular) streaming radio services. Now that Apple is introducing, and soon launching, iTunes radio, Pandora has to get a bit more competitive.
To do that, the service will remove that listening limit for free users.
That said, company CFO Mike Herring, says “we are no strangers to intense competition.” Pandora is already a known name in streaming radio, but Apple is also an extremely popular brand. It’s hard to say which will capture the audience. People do tend to stick to what’s familiar unless given great incentive to move on.
