This one seems to be getting some mixed reactions from my Trekkie friends. Some enjoy it, and others totally hate it. It seems the extreme Star Trek fans find several flaws with it. Regardless, what’s worth noting is that this is hitting iTunes about three weeks before it arrives on DVD and Blu-Ray.
Since I was never big on Star Trek, I have no idea how it does or doesn’t fit into the continuity of the story. I did watch the first of the newer films, and while I can’t say it was a bad movie, it wasn’t my cup of tea.
Still, the first movie was popular with fans and this one just isn’t getting the love the previous Abrams Star Trek did.
The movie is $14.99 in SD and $20.99 in HD on the iTunes store.
