The iPhone 5C has been circulating through the rumor mill for quite some time already. At this point, it sounds pretty much confirmed by everyone but Apple. We’ve seen several leaks and reports dropping information on what the iPhone 5C may actually look like.
What do we think we know about the iPhone 5C so far? Let’s take a look.
1) It will come in multiple, brighter colors
The iPhone 5C will reportedly come in a wide range of colors. These colors may appeal more to a slightly younger crowd. Kids in high school or college may opt for a pink or blue iPhone, just because they like the color a lot more than the standard iPhone 5 colors.
2) It will have a plastic back
The iPhone 5C will reportedly have a plastic backing. This is instead of aluminum (iPhone 5) or glass (iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S). This will not only help cut costs, but it helps the design feel a bit more welcoming and friendly, especially with the curved edges and colorful look.
3) It will be budget priced
This is the main goal with the iPhone 5C. It’s supposed to be priced at something that’s more affordable than the current iPhone model. This is in hopes of selling the handset to users who want a smartphone, but may not be able to afford the $200 device and a contract.
4) We will likely see it on September 10
We think that we will see this device on September 10. That’s when Apple is set to announce it’s next line of iPhone, according to rumors. We will know for sure when Apple sends out the invite, or when Apple actually unveils such a device.
Ready for a low-cost iPhone?
The low-cost iPhone may be a reality, but we won’t know for a while. That said, it seems like a safe bet right now. We’d say it’s happening.
