Apple Stores to Have Touch ID Demo App to Show How iPhone 5S Fingerprint Security Works

Touch ID demonstration

Apple’s iPhone 5S has a fingerprint sensor embedded on the Home Button.

In order to show off that functionality, Apple is going to have displays in its retail stores showing how the technology works.

When September 20 comes around, Apple will use a demo app for carrier stores and Apple Stores that will let the shopper use the app, touch the sensor, have their fingerprint scanned then demonstrate to them that their finger is recognized. They can then use another finger, and the app will inform them that the authentication didn’t work.

Makes me want one just for the fingerprint stuff. I hate having to type in my Apple ID and password.
