We all hate receiving spam. Especially when it’s text messages. They somehow feel more distracting and invasive than email. Maybe we’ve just grown accustomed to email spam. Regardless, it’s an annoyance. However, you can report it fairly easily.
Lifehacker shares how. It’s easy:
Simply forward the text message to 7726 (SPAM). This will report it to your carrier. At least it works with the four major carriers (Sprint, AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile.)
That said, it may not immediately stop the messages, but it will help in the long run as the carriers learn which messages to start dumping and filtering out.
Don’t forget, you can also report spam to Apple.
