According to a recent report from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will release an A7X powered iPad and iPad mini before the end of the year. Interestingly, however, Apple will also launch a low-cost iPad mini powered by an A6 in 2014.
We usually label reports like these as BS, but it’s worth noting that Kuo has a very, very good track record when it comes to predicting Apple’s moves for iOS devices. It’s very likely that he has a knowledgable source. Kuo says that the next iOS tablets should arrive by Q4 2013.
However, it’s interesting that he also believes Apple will launch a lower-cost iPad mini. It will be a step up from the current model, but still not quite up to par with the iPad mini 2.
