Now that the rumors are out of the way, and the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C are real products waiting to be released, let’s take a look at the two handsets to see which suits your needs. We’re not going to tell you which to buy, but we will give you things to think about when considering your purchase.
1) iPhone 5S has a fingerprint scanner, no need for passwords and codes
One of the major cool points here is the fingerprint sensor. We don’t yet know how well it works in practice, but in theory it’s pretty nice.
2) The iPhone 5C comes in colors that may be more attractive to some users
The iPhone 5C comes in a variety of colors. This is something that may be more attractive to some users who want a more personalized iPhone. The iPhone 5S only comes in three colors, and none totally stand out as they do with the iPhone 5C.
3) The iPhone 5S has a much better camera
The iPhone 5S has a load of new camera features. The sensor is larger, and it adds continuous burst mode and captures video at 120fps. It also has a dual-LED flash that captures skin tones much better than before.
4) The iPhone 5C is more cost-effective, the same $199 will get you twice the storage
The cool thing about the iPhone 5C is that it costs less at $99. However, if you want to double your capacity, you can pay $199 for a 32GB iPhone.
5) The iPhone 5S is a much faster device, in many ways
The iPhone 5S is said to be about twice as fast as the iPhone 5C. It also captures video at a faster frame rate, and captures photos at about 10 per second. We look forward to seeing how it works with a hands-on.
Which is for you?
Are you more interested in the lower price and cool color, or are you more interested in the latest from Apple? It’s all up to you. Either way, just be happy with your selection, and carry around your new handset.
