McDonald’s is testing out mobile purchases at some of its restaurants in Salt Lake City, UT and Austin, TX.
The testing program allows customers to place their orders and purchase their food with their smartphone. They can order in-store or curbside or from the drive-thru.
While McDonald’s already has a mobile app with nutritional information, restaurant locations, job openings and more, there is still no mobile ordering. Seems that’s changing.
It will be interesting to see how this trend picks up not only at McDonalds, but other fast-food establishments.
