Report: Only 1/3 of Samsung Phones Sold are Comparable to iPhone

A recent report shows that of all the smartphones Samsung ships, only 1/3 are on part with the iPhone in terms of specs and features.

While it sells overall more smartphones than Apple, only a small portion of those are what would be considered “high-end.” Meanwhile, all of the smartphones Apple sells are considered “high-end.” The iPhone 5C and the iPhone 5S both have features that are considered current and more enticing to consumers who don’t mind paying a little more.

Many of the smartphones that Samsung sells are also considered budget devices meant to introduce users to smartphones at a lower cost. Personally, we don’t think that’s a bad thing, but the report is more making the point that although Samsung does sell more smartphones than anyone else, including Apple, it doesn’t mean that all these phones are comparable.
