Square-Enix is bringing the the awesome PlayStation 2 classic, Dragon Quest VIII to iPad and iPhone.
The game originally launched in 2004. It featured some great cell-shaded graphics, courtesy of Akira Toriyama, best known for his work on Dragon Ball. In fact, the game looks a lot like the popular anime. The art style is similar, but the quality is wonderful, especially for the time.
Of course many games have released since then, and they surpass this one visually. Still, it’s a great JRPG, and it still holds up pretty well. It will also give you several hours of gameplay. That said, it’s a Square-Enix game, so when it hits the US App Store, don’t be surprised if it costs $15 – $20.
