According to reports, the National Security Agency has almost full backdoor access to the iPhone. This comes from leaked documents by security researcher Jacob Appelbaum and German magazine Der Spiegel.
Website The Daily Dot reports that the program called DROPOUTJEEP enables the agency to see SMS messages, contact lists, locate phones and spy using the microphone and camera.
Here’s the thing: the NSA needs physical access to the device to make this work. This is done by re-routing online orders (Hmm..our iPhone 5 was “backordered” for a few weeks…) However, soon, they will be able to pull this off remotely.
From here on out, we should text nothing but gibberish to each other. That will annoy them.
