Above is an example of a Lucky Bag (via App Bank)
If you’re reading this and you live in Japan. Lucky you. Right now, retailers have their annual “Lucky Bags” for the new year.
Lucky bags are a holiday tradition in Japan. Retailers sell bags full of mystery items at a set price. The total value of the items is always more than what is paid for the bag. However, some shoppers become extremely lucky and get a little more out of it. For instance, a $350 bag may include an iPad and earbuds, along with a handful of other items. It may have a MacBook Air, Mouse, case and more. Not everyone makes off with that kind of a gift, but they will take home items valued at more than what they paid.
