Going Too Far: Flappy Bird Users Threaten to Kill Developer

Flappy Bird

This is probably more common than we think. I’ve seen musicians post on Facebook about receiving death threats because people don’t like their new musical direction. It happens to developers, too. This time it’s Nguyen Ha Dong, creator of Flappy Bird.

He removed the game from the App Store recently, because it was growing very popular.

Apparently, this is enough for him to receive death threats. Here’s an example of one such Tweet:

“YOU BEST NOT BE DELETING FLAPPY BIRD BECAUSE I WILL MURDER YOU IF U DO.”

Well, that’s taking it a little far.

Maybe it’s just a bunch of angry, knee-jerk reactions.
