Bitrunner is an interactive, real-world game for iPhone, Android, Google glass and Drone devices. It turns everyday life into something of a massively-multiplayer role-playing game.
The idea is that Bitcoins are hidden throughout the world. You can collect Bitcoins by scanning around and digging. You can attack other players with virtual land mines to make them scatter their Bitcoins. After that, you and others can collect the dropped coins.
Players can also buy extra items such as shovels and telescopes to make their search for Bitcoins much easier. Then they can deposit their Bitcoins in the bank for safe keeping (that way, you don’t get bombed and lose your coins.) Players can later cash in their Bitcoins for real money.
Now, here’s the part where we come in: It’s still in Indigogo campaign status. It’s going to take about $25,000 of funding for this to happen. It’s already reached $611, but that’s a long way from $25,000. Still, it’s about 26 days from the end of the campaign.
You can check it out here. It looks pretty cool: Bitrunner
