Ready for another iPhone rumor? According to this latest one, the iPhone 6’s A8 chip is currently in production for the likely fall launch of Apple’s next handset.
This information comes from the Taiwan Commercial Times (via MacRumors), which cites supply chain sources familiar with the ongoings at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).
If the report is accurate, we can expect the A8 to include a quad-core 64-bit processor and quad-core graphics. The Times goes on to say that the early production start will enable Apple to pull off an easier launch for later this year.
Apple typically releases a new iPhone in the fall around October.
