It only takes a number of hours before people will begin trying to alter their new iPhones. The iPhone 4 allows for a limited amount of physical diversity, meaning people are going to try to get different colors of iPhone through their own ingenuity. This DIY task is one that some at the blogs have taken up quickly, ordering white covers from China and putting them together themselves. To do this Engadget had to actually follow the iFixit's "teardown guide" where they actually had to take apart their iPhone 4 and essentially put it back together with the new casing.
